Musicals For Young Actors
Dweebs, Twits and Nerds, The Shadow Dancer, Muses and Stars and Fireflies are a few of the titles from David's library of plays for young actors (eight to sixteen years old). Many were originally written for the summer musical theater camps at The University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music's Preparatory Department. Updated through the years, these one act musicals are perfect for upper grade-school and middle-school productions.
David's professional musical theater career begin with his writing the lyrics and music for The Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati's (ETC) production of Jack And The Beanstalk in 1991. Since then he has written lyrics and music for 16 world premiere productions for ETC. He has also written for the Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park and The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati.
